Sleeve pattern hack: making a leg of mutton sleeve

Have you heard of the leg of mutton sleeve? I know, it's a weird name. But such a gorgeous sleeve! I love all that volume and gathering at the upper arm, and how it tapers to a tight fit at the lower arm.

I wanted to show my Threads+ members how to make this modification based on any "regular" set in sleeve. So using my Linnéa pattern I filmed each step in modifying the sleeve pattern and then sewing this lovely sleeve.

The fabric I used is a viscose jersey, quite light and with drape. If you were to choose a more sturdy fabric, with less drape, you'd get a more dramatic effect and more puff.
