Today I'm going to share a super cute modification of the Olivia pattern. I started with the tunic pattern pieces and shortened the front and back bodice to make a top. Love it!

This top is in size 104. I measured down the front of the girl's body and decided to make it 29 cm long, that would make a pretty short top. Out of the 29 cm I deducted 3 cm for the lace that I wanted to hem it with and added 1 cm for seam allowance. I ended up taking away 15 cm from the length on the tunic (on the front and back). This was in size 104. 

As you can see in the picture below I drew a new line on the front piece of the tunic, having measured 29 cm - 3 + 1 from the center front. And I drew the same line on the back piece.

My tips for you is to measure directly on the child, or compare with another top whose length you like from your child's wardrobe. Don't forget to add a couple of cm for the hem.
