Good evening! A few days ago I released the beanie pattern Sigge & Siri. I love a pattern with lots of variations and possibilities for pattern hacking.
Here's a pattern hack, a quite simple modification to the pattern, which I think many of you are interested in: how to make the beanie more baggy!
The illustration below pretty much sums it up.
First take your pattern and cut it into two pieces, in the middle. There are markings on the pattern showing you where the middle is.
After that, bring the two pieces apart so that they create a space between them that is 6 cm (2 3/8") wide. Place another paper in between/under that covers the space.
At last, tape together the three pieces into one and you now have a pattern for a baggy beanie. Adding the 6 cm makes the beanie 3 cm (1 1/4") higher/longer.
This modification works for all sizes in the pattern.
