My daughter has long wished for a pyjamas in a cosy fabric with bunnies, which she found in my way too huge fabric collection. But it wasn't just any pyjamas she wanted, naturally she had some requests regarding how it would look. It would have to be a one-piece, but not too wide. It should have long sleeves and long legs, and most importantly, her beloved little brother should have one like hers so they could match.
I based it on a pattern which the daughter was really fond of, the Victoria jumpsuit. But I had to make a different bodice, one that was adapted for long sleeves. For that I used Ester & Ebbe. To make my new bodice fit with the bottom of Victoria I shortened the pattern piece for Ester & Ebbe's front and back piece, and I also made it more slim, so that it's circumference would be the same as Victoria's bottom piece.

Solid line = Ester and Ebbe, front and back piece.
Dashed line = New drafted line, adapted to fit the bottom piece of Victoria.
The back piece is cut on fold as usual, but I split the front piece and added 3 cm on both sides to make a placket on the center front of the pyjamas.
I folded 2 cm to the wrong side and pressed, and I also cut out a piece of interfacing that I ironed onto the inside of the placket for more stability.
The folded piece was topstitched (sewn from the right side) with a decorative stitch, and the neckline was sewn with a binding.
On little brother's PJ's I chose to sew the binding all the way around the neckline and down the placket. So I made the corners more rounded so that it would be easier to sew the binding.
I also took off a centimeter or so from the sleeves and added cuffs on both PJ's. And then sewed together the jumpsuit as described in the pattern's tutorial.
I also sewed a binding on the crotch seam for little brother's PJ's and attached snap buttons, to facilitate diaper changes (this is described in Victoria's tutorial).
